The author Miguel Angel Margallo Gisbert, began his pictorial career since childhood, showing a great interest in art and culture. He was attending a professional academy of painting in the style oil on canvas, as well as in the development of the technique in pastel. Later, given his artistic restlessness, he started in the world of hyperrealist portrait, in a self-taught way.
At the same time, he founded a channel on the video platform YOUTUBE, whose channel is called "Dale al lápiz" in which he uploads videos with great assiduity, where he explains techniques, tips, and tutorials for the development of pencil portraits, as well as videos in "Time lapse" on the development of his works.
As a result of this work, he makes portraits and commissioned drawings for individuals, and teaches artistic drawing classes. In recent years he has held exhibitions in Illescas (Toledo), In the Carril del Conde Cultural Center in Madrid in October 2018, where he won the 5th Accessit prize in the II Petit Salón de Otoño de Pintura Realista, organized by Avatarte. As a result of which he was selected to be part of the platform MARCA ARTE ESPAÑA, as one of its painters. Subsequently during the month of April 2019, he organized an exhibition of his works at the Casa de la Cultura "Pedro de Lorenzo" in Soto del Real (Madrid), where he exhibited 25 works and held a Masterclass explaining techniques, tips and elaboration of the paintings.
Also one of his works was selected as a finalist in the IV Salón de Primavera de Pintura Realista. From AVATARTE with the work entitled "Conexión Mamífera" in the Centro Cultural Sanchinarro (Madrid). In July 2019 he participated in a collaborative exhibition with the Russian Embassy at the Russian House in Madrid organized by MARCA ARTE ESPAÑA. In September 2019 he held an exhibition at the Autonomous University of Madrid. In February 2020 he exhibited some of his works in the tribute to Eduardo Naranjo.
