Libert Froidmont (Haccourt-Liège 1587 - Louvain 1653 to Louvain). Theologian and scientist. He was a close companion of Cornelius Jansen and corresponded with René Descartas. His role is important in the complex evolution of the official positions of the Church towards the Copernican revolution, in the period following the decree of 1616.
