Female bust portrait, in which the author presents the protagonist with her back to us. The identity is not revealed but is hidden, creating a game of mystery. The comb with which the head is adorned stands out, not only for the size, but also for the bright color. It should also be noted that in the negative play of the comb a mythical animal can be seen that would connect with pre-Columbian cultures. That is to say that through few elements the author manages to capture our attention and give us information that makes us question as spectators issues such as identity and culture.
Luz Ángela Lizarazo is a Colombian artist who began her academic training by studying Fine Arts at the School of Fine Arts in Paris. This characteristic led her career to be projected internationally from the beginning. As a result, her exhibition career is of international character, since she has exhibited her works in spaces such as the Luis Angel Arango Library in Bogota, the Chamber of Commerce, the Museum of Modern Art of Bogota, as well as in Madrid, Brazil and Paris. Luz Ángela works in various formats, although her work stands out for her artistic ability on drawing and paper as support. She creates images of great intimacy, where the line is usually soft, the colors are clear and the compositions are serene.
