A sculptor and painter, Vicente Navarro trained at the San Carlos School of Fine Arts in Valencia, where he was a disciple of López Mezquita. He regularly took part in the National Exhibitions of Fine Arts, being awarded the first medal in 1915. After travelling to Rome on a scholarship, in 1918 he obtained a teaching post at the La Lonja School in Barcelona. He was a member of the academies of San Carlos, San Jorge and San Fernando, was awarded the National Prize for Painting and Sculpture in 1947 and a medal of honour at the Regional Exhibition in Valencia in 1935. He is represented in various museums, such as the Museum of Modern Art in Madrid and the Army Museum.
