Juan Escoda trained with Pedro Borrell and Ricardo Tárrega. He was director of the gallery Grifé & Escoda of Barcelona, and exhibited his work in the Ateneo of Madrid, doing it later in New York and, later, in Berlin, Munich, Constanza, London and Paris, among other European cities. Escoda has been repeatedly awarded the City of Béziers Prize (France), the Bicentennial Medal of the United States of America and the Gold Medal of the Academy of Italy.
