Spanish school of the late eighteenth century-early nineteenth century.

Saint John the Baptist and Jesus, both infants, melt in an embrace. The Baptist holds a rod with the inscription "Ecce Agnus Dei" in the phylactery, a subject that had as purpose to express by means of symbols the last end of the birth and the death of Christ.
