Signed, dated and titled on the back.
Measurements: 19 x 15 cm.

Musician, ceramist and painter, Joan Comellas became known in several editions of the Salón de Mayo in Barcelona, and made his individual debut in 1958 in the galleries El Jardín in the same city. His work has as its absolute protagonist the chromatic stain, within an artistic concept that will go as far as abstraction. As a musician he had a fundamentally self-taught training, and was one of the founders of the Círculo Musical Manuel de Falla. In 2005, the Angel Planells Foundation of Blanes dedicated an anthological exhibition to him.
