Manuel Vivó Rius was an outstanding painter whose life was marked by his passion for painting and drawing. From an early age, he demonstrated his artistic ability, training at the Escuela de Arte y Oficios and the Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes de San Carlos de Valencia.

In addition to his academic training, Vivó worked in cabinetmaking and Fallas workshops, where he was also able to demonstrate his talent in engraving and wood carving. During his youth, he combined his love of art with his passion for music, performing in zarzuelas and musical plays.

Graduating in Fine Arts in 1955, he began a teaching career in Priego de Córdoba and later in Ciudad Real. It was during this time that he began to stand out as a pictorial artist, participating in exhibitions and creating works that were praised for their prismatic style and their depiction of everyday life.

In 1967, he obtained the position of Professor of Drawing at the Francisco Ribalta Institute in Castellón, a city where he developed an intense artistic and cultural activity. In addition to his work as an artist, he was involved in the cultural life of the city, giving lectures, collaborating in magazines and art galleries, and playing roles as Secretary of the Ateneo de Castellón and Curator of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Vilafamés.

Throughout his career, Vivó explored diverse artistic styles and techniques, from realism to abstraction, using a variety of media and materials to express his visions and concerns about society. His work spread throughout Spain and also reached galleries and museums in other countries such as Germany, Italy and Chile. His artistic legacy encompasses a wide range of subjects, from meaningful symbols to portraits and self-portraits, reflecting his deep commitment to art and society.
