Gabriel Casarrubios trained at the San Fernando School of Fine Arts in Madrid, finishing his studies in 1978. He then moved to the region of Valle del Tiétar, south of Gredos. Throughout his career he has held exhibitions in various Spanish cities, as well as at the World Art Museum in Beijing (2008 and 2009) and the Wetland Museum in Hangzhou (China, 2012). He has also won numerous awards in various painting competitions. A member of the Canati group, the Añil Collective and the Mediterráneo Group, his work is developed in three directions: impressionist oil paintings with a landscape theme, acrylic works with an abstract tendency and graphic work, mainly developed using computer media. He is currently represented in private collections and institutions in Spain, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Argentina and the United States.
