Since the birth of Barriques d'Or.

Since the birth of the Barriques d'Or in 2002, they have had only one ambition: to reveal the originality and excellence of the white wines of Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh. Thus, every year, at the beginning of winter, around fifteen barrels are auctioned for charity. They are sold in one of the best châteaux in the Vic-Bilh region to wine lovers from all over the world. Each barrel is meticulously crafted by a winemaker who brings his own style, vision and experience. By offering these crazy creations, the winemakers are illustrating the full potential of their appellation. They show that the Petit Manseng and Petit Courbu grapes, weathered by the cold and the sun, produce wines that offer a subtle blend of sweetness, freshness, complexity and vivacity. A thrill. The soft pacherenc, with its nose of light candied fruits (pear, apple, quince) and spices, its broad and balanced palate, leaves an impression of freshness (bergamot), with good persistence. The vineyard is located in the French departments of Hautes-Pyrénées, Gers and Pyrénées-Atlantiques.
