Measurements: 30 x 22 x 5 cm.Rodrigo Mendez Silva was a Portuguese historian, genealogist, geographer and writer. He was general chronicler and member of the Supreme Council of Castile, he worked for kings like Felipe III and Felipe IV. He also maintained friendships with other great authors of the time, especially Castilian and Andalusian authors such as Tirso de Molina, Garcilaso de la Vega and Calderón de la Barca.
Among his best known works is his Población general de España (1644).
