Quaestionum Medico-Legalium is a monograph on forensic medicine. Paolo Zacchia was an Italian physician, professor of medical sciences, forensic medicine, medico-legal jurist, philosopher and poet. He is said to have been personal physician to Pope Innocent X and Pope Alexander VII. Zacchias was also legal advisor to the Roman Rota, the highest papal court of appeals, and head of the medical system in the Papal States. His best-known three-volume book, Quaestiones medico-legales (1621-1651), established legal medicine as a subject of study.
