In the words of the Spanish National Library "On July 12, 1493, the first Latin edition of Hartmann Schedel's Chronicle of Hartmann Schedel left Anton Koberger's workshop. The quality of the work is shown in its integrity when one parsimoniously goes through the seven ages of the world into which its author has divided the history of mankind, in accordance with the biblical account of creation and the worldview of his time."
