Jacinto Verdaguer y Santaló was a Spanish priest and poet who wrote his work in Catalan, and whose literature was particularly influenced by Bishop Torras i Bages, who called him "Prince of Catalan poets". Jacinto Verdaguer is also known as Mossèn Cinto Verdaguer, due to his status as a cleric.
